Volunteer Diny’s updates – Today our feeding walk ended in tears...

Today our feeding walk ended in tears. As the ginger cat can’t go to New York now, Manuela wanted to give this lovely girl a new life in America as the new number 5 on the 30th. Today we wanted to pick her up to get her vaccinated, chipped and so on. She’s all alone as her friend (the black one) tragically escaped out of the crate nearly three weeks ago and has not returned yet. Manuela also fed this girl since November last year each single day. When we came to the place where she hangs out, we couldn’t find her. We asked a Turkish man at the hotel if he had seen her and he just laughed at us and said: “she’s gone”. He just had an evil face and he was terrifying us. Manuela tried to figure out where they had taken her and the other Turkish guys who came along just laughed and all of the sudden said lies. Tomorrow we will try to figure out what happens to her and pay them for a little bit of information. Manuela is of course crying and my heart is broken too, as for I´m leaving tomorrow…” -Diny
